Welcome to the Launching Pad! It is with great pleasure that I crack the champagne over our hull as we release this first issue into orbit.

Before we start the ignition sequence, however, I feel it appropriate to share with you our mission statement here at EducationHall:

We believe in the power beyond the slogan, as evidenced by the central, emphatic word: renaissance. What is a renaissance, exactly? It is a rebirth, a period of enlightenment characterized by great innovations across many disciplines.

In the public schools of the 21^st century, the knowledge and research base regarding leadership is growing exponentially. All engines are firing. We are learning tremendous amounts about leading people, leading schools, and leading youngsters to achieve their dreams.

This onslaught of information, quite honestly, is dizzying. Rookie and veteran school leaders alike face uncertainty about where to begin – they are pulled in many different directions, with seemingly unyielding demands awaiting them at every turn.

This is where we come in. Making sense of the data, clarifying the piles of research and turning them into workable, usable strategies for managing the true rebirth of educational leadership – through innovative methods – is our trademark and our calling.

Great leadership is not genetic, nor is it coincidental. Exceptional leadership arrives on a parallel orbit with inspiration, dedication, intentionality, professionalism, desire, and myriad other characteristics, including, yes, common sense.

At EducationHall, our promise is to live our mission: to provide superb professional development and tailored training that bolsters the leadership capacity within the leaders in our school communities; to offer a menu of services to strengthen those in influential and impactful positions; to avail a voice for those with innovative methods, ideas, and strategies to share.

The Launching Pad is one such medium.
